Do I have to live in North Carolina for telehealth appointments?
Yes. At this time we are only able to see patients who reside in North Carolina — but that includes anywhere in the state, from the Triangle to Charlotte, the mountains to the coast.
What do I need for a virtual appointment?
Any device with a camera and microphone — phone, tablet, or computer. We send you a secure video link before your appointment; no special software is needed.
Is a telehealth visit different from an in-person visit?
No — we provide the same comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and medication management via secure, HIPAA-compliant video as we do in person, and prescriptions can be sent electronically to your pharmacy the same day.
Can medications be prescribed through telehealth?
Yes — when appropriate, prescriptions are sent electronically to your preferred pharmacy the same day. Controlled medications are prescribed at the discretion of our providers when appropriate for your symptoms and general health status, and a diagnostic evaluation is required first.
